Shipping policy
Of course. Here’s the full polished version with Royal Mail Tracked & Signed for UK orders, DHL for international orders, and the customs responsibility made clear.
Shipping Policy
At Cheyne Atelier, every order is carefully prepared and packaged to help ensure your artwork arrives safely and securely.
Processing Times
Processing times vary depending on the type of artwork ordered.
Ready-to-ship original artwork and standard prints will usually be prepared and dispatched as quickly as possible.
Personalised artwork, pet portraits and commissioned pieces require additional time because each piece is created individually. An estimated turnaround time will be provided on the relevant product page or when your commission is confirmed.
Please note that processing time is separate from delivery time.
If you need an order for a particular date, please contact gemcheyne@gmail.com before ordering and I will let you know what may be possible.
UK Delivery
UK orders will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked & Signed.
Tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates and begin once your order has been dispatched.
International Delivery
International orders will be sent using DHL tracked delivery.
Tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
Delivery times will vary depending on the destination and may be affected by customs clearance, local delivery services or other circumstances outside the control of Cheyne Atelier.
Customs, Import Duties & Additional Charges
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling fees or other charges applied by the destination country.
These charges are not included in the price of the artwork or shipping unless specifically stated otherwise.
Cheyne Atelier has no control over these charges and cannot predict how much they may be.
By placing an international order, you accept responsibility for any customs, import or local charges that may be due when your parcel reaches your country.
If customs fees or import charges are not paid and the parcel is returned to Cheyne Atelier, any additional return or shipping costs may be deducted from any refund due, where permitted.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are based on the size, weight, value and destination of your order.
The applicable shipping charge will be shown at checkout before payment is completed.
Larger original artworks or particularly valuable pieces may require specialist shipping arrangements.
Packaging
All artwork is carefully packaged to protect it during transit.
Different artwork types may require different forms of protective packaging depending on their size and materials.
Please take care when opening your parcel and avoid using sharp objects close to the artwork.
Delivery Delays
Occasionally, deliveries may take longer than expected due to postal or courier delays, customs clearance, adverse weather or other circumstances outside the control of Cheyne Atelier.
If your order appears to be significantly delayed, please contact gemcheyne@gmail.com and I will help investigate it with Royal Mail or DHL as appropriate.
Lost Parcels
If you believe your parcel has been lost in transit, please contact me as soon as possible.
An investigation may need to be completed with the relevant delivery provider before a replacement or refund can be arranged.
Incorrect Delivery Addresses
Please check your delivery details carefully before placing your order.
If you notice an error before dispatch, please contact gemcheyne@gmail.com as quickly as possible.
Cheyne Atelier cannot be responsible for parcels sent to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
If an order is returned because incorrect or incomplete address details were supplied, additional postage may be required before the order can be sent again.
Damaged Orders
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact gemcheyne@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Please include clear photographs of:
- the artwork
- the damage
- the outer packaging
- the internal packaging
Please keep all packaging until the issue has been resolved, as it may be required for a claim with Royal Mail or DHL.
For further information regarding returns and refunds, please see the Cheyne Atelier Refund Policy.
